Large scale growth of Mexico’s energy sector combined with liberalisation reform is expected to fuel growth in the country’s port sector, according to Guillermo Ruiz de Teresa, general co-ordinator of Mexico Ports and Merchant Marine.

A tug boat that can be transported as a twenty-foot container may offer operators savings of up to 80% on transport costs and help meet increased demand at ports during  peak periods such as port construction and dredging, Bob Scheiberlich director of developer ContainerTug B.V. told PFI.
