Tender for LNG shore equipment in Samsø

As an LNG-powered ferry prepares to start operating from the Danish island of Samsø next October, a tender is being organised to find the provider of the necessary port equipment.

The Samsø municipality wants a turn-key LNG supply solution. The selected candidate will need to install pumps and tanks, train vessel crews to bunkering, and supply LNG for the ferry.

Interested companies need to submit documentation for prequalification by February 17th. The tender itself will start in March, with the deadline for submission being May 5th. The contract is expected to be signed in June or July, for a delivery no later than September.

The LNG-powered ferry is scheduled to make its first journey between the island of Samsø and Jutland on the Danish mainland on October 1st.
