OHL construction company wins €13.8m cruise terminal concession at Bilbao

BILBAO port authority has awarded Spanish construction company Obrascon Huarte Lain (OHL) with a €13.8m ($16.7m) concession to build a new cruise terminal at Getxo, a seafront municipality in the Basque Country, Northern Spain.

OHL will start works in the autumn on what will become Bilbao’s second cruise terminal when it is completed by 2014.

The cruise terminal at Getxo will be 27.400m2 large with a breadth of 76 metres, a quay of 355 metres and a draught of 12 metres.
