Polish petroleum logistics company Pern has awarded a 415M zloty contract (100M€) to a consortium led by IDS-BUD for the construction of an oil terminal in the port of Gdansk.

Construction of the Shtandart oil terminal in the port of Rotterdam will begin next year and the new facility will become operational in 2016, the joint venture and the port authority have announced after signing the land transfer agreement.

A consortium led by French group Technip has been awarded a contract to build an LNG port on the Yamal peninsula, in Russia.

Fosmax LNG, which owns the Fos Cavaou LNG terminal near Marseilles, has launched public consultations on its 500M€ project to double its regasifying capacity.

The port of Rotterdam has deepened a jetty and dredged the navigation path leading to it so as to accommodate oil tankers with a draught of 22 metres. Also, it will open a new 105,000 m3 crude oil tank in May.

Associated British Ports has signed a 15-year contract with Drax Power, a subsidiary of Drax Group, for the creation of a dedicated import facility, a renewable fuels terminal, at its Port of Immingham.

The Brazilian environment state agency has granted the permit to build an LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) terminal at the Açu Superport, announced LLX Logística, the private Brazilian company developing the port infrastructure.

Mozambique’s first oil port was inaugurated on Wednesday in the city of Pemba, announced Bolloré Africa Logistics Mozambique which partnered the Mozambican public corporation CFM on this project.

Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. announced today that it has won two dredging contracts in Melbourne (Australia) and in Nghi Son (Vietnam) with a combined value of approximately €70 million.

The French government is looking to open a third public tender for offshore wind farms, as part of the country's transition away from a dependence on nuclear power in favour of renewable energy.
