Many world-class attractions are within one hour’s drive away, including the original Legoland and Odense - Hans Christian Andersen’s birthplace.
Despite being a new cruise destination, excellent ratings have already been received since the opening season in 2014 and throughout 2015, confirming that the destination has a wide-ranging appeal to a large range of cruise guests, Cruise Baltic said.
Gry Klok Thomsen, Cruise Fredericia cruise business manager, said: “We have experienced two successful seasons as a cruise destination. Through knowledge sharing with the network members we are looking forward to developing our destination even more in an ongoing process.
“We also hope to contribute to Cruise Baltic with experience gained from our recent work in establishing not only a close co-operation with the attractions and the city of Fredericia but also the public in our region, all having played an important part in Cruise Fredericia’s success so far.”
Claus Bødker, Cruise Baltic Director, added: “We are proud to welcome such an attractive destination into our portfolio and I am confident Fredercia’s investment in joining our progressive network will prove a mutually beneficial exercise for all concerned.”
Cruise Baltic is a network of cruise destinations in the Baltic Sea offering easy access to 10 countries. The network - founded in 2004 with 12 destinations - has grown to 28 destinations this year.
